Somtimes hospitals /psych wards give replacement meds called sugar pills, dummy drugs, placebo, that simply allow pacient to believe they are taking medicine.
Daily exercise (even light cardio) is believe to be one of the best alternatives to medication.
An alternative to taking medication, is Search the internet to find out what: foods, roots, plants, tea are said to be alternative to that medication.
